Who hires a coach and why? Anyone who is hungry for positive change in their lives should hire a Life Coach! Business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals, recent graduates, executives, corporate leaders, and all kinds of people in transition can use a coach to fix, solve, create, or plan the next part of their life, personally and/or professionally |
How is the Life Coaching Conducted? One to one coaching sessions are conducted over the telephone which enables you to relax in the comfort of your own home at a set time of your choosing. Or face-to face where we arrange a time and place to meet. |
What happens during a typical coaching session? Coaching sessions take place over the phone or in person (depending on the client's geography and preference). A typical session begins with a discussion of the specific challenges at hand & the obstacles in the way. The remainder of the time may be spent exploring different perspectives on the situation; using a variety of brainstorming techniques or probing questions to uncover possible solutions; and creating a plan for progress over the coming week. This, of course, is only a 'typical' session. The time you spend and the work you do with your coach is uniquely YOURS and may turn out to be vastly different. |
Why does coaching work? Coaching works for 3 reasons: Synergy, Structure, and Expertise.Synergy: As client and coach, we are a team focused on YOUR goals and needs. Together, you can accomplish far more than you could on your own. Structure: Coaches provide accountability, challenging you to think bigger and take action sooner. You'll make progress each week toward the goals that matter most to you. Expertise: A coach brings their expertise and experience in business, career and leadership development, human behaviour and motivation and life strategy to bear on all the work they do. Together, you'll set great goals, make meaningful decisions, and create the life you dream of living. |
How is business/career/life coaching different from therapy? Coaching is not therapy. Where therapy seeks to resolve long-standing issues, coaching seeks to solve specific problems. Therapy tends to focus on the relationship of the past to the present; coaching looks at the present as a foundation for the future. Where therapy deals with treatment and healing, coaching deals with co-creation and achievement. A therapist will generally keep their relationship with a patient at a professional distance; a coach will be personally involved and much closer to their client. A therapist looks for 'behaviour norms'; a Life Coach looks for uniqueness. |
